Easement, boundary disputes

Boundary and easement disputes result from adverse possession (when another person has used a whole or portion of property for years) or instances where a previous property owner did not raise an objection to an issue. It is important to not let the dispute linger and hire attorney.

"Boundary and easement disputes can turn property ownership into a legal hardship and often cannot be resolved through a property survey because the records are unclear or there are discrepancies.."

A number of disputes also revolve around encroachment issues, such as when a neighbor puts up a structure that intrudes on your property. If you agree to allow such an encroachment, it is a good idea to establish a written agreement in order to prevent a claim of adverse possession later.
